I stumbled upon a Whyte demo day the other day at my local trail center and gave a T-130 a go and really enjoyed it. First FS iv’e ridden for more than a quick car park lap so nothing to really judge it against, i just liked it and seems a nice change after owning multiple HT’s.
But having just bought a house and not wanting to sell my current bike to fund it I’m not really in the market for a full price one. So was wondering when are next years bikes likely to come out so that i can keep an eye on my local bike shop possibly having a sale so that i can pick one up a bit cheaper?

Have you tried Pauls cycles (the on-line store) they seem to specialise in old stock and will typically have various models going back 2, 3 even 4 years at reasonable discounts. The sizing might be an issue and the spec might not be bang on trend (although I’d personally happily buy a 26” fs bike now). Other than that – your LBS might be doing the best deals in the dark days of October/November when sales will hit the annual low points.

If it’s affordability at the moment, Wheelbase are doing 36 months Interest Free and they appear to sell the T-130 in a number of guises

    T-130 SX

    T-130 S

    T-130 Works

I hadn’t considered the finance option. Getting the T-130 S over 24 months doesn’t seems a bad idea. Only worry i would have is that if i don’t get on with it is there an option to sell it and pay off the remaining finance? Obviously there will be a bit of negative equity to clear but no different to if you paid out for it in full and lost a bit of cash selling it.
Would mean that i could have it straight away and enjoy the summer on it.

Just depends on the terms of whoever is providing the finance. Check with the shop

Reviving an old post for this one.
So I’ve singled it down to the bike I want and saved the cash to pay half up front and 0% finance the other half so I’m ready to go.
I’ve noticed that a few shops are quoting 2016 bikes to come in stock mid august-september but I’ve found a shop already offering a 12% discount on 2015 bikes.
    So do i:
-wait for a few weeks and see if other places are offering more than a 12% discount but potentially risk them selling their few remaining bikes in stock.
-buy it now, forget about the money and enjoy it for the remaining (hopefully dry) weeks

I’m not sure what the likely discount will be once the new bikes come in?

It’s like trying to predict the stock market…

Buy it when you think it’s good value and still in stock.

though obviously shop around a bit now, and use any deals to push a little further.. TBH I’d say a lot is down to your relationship with your LBS

Buy one now, enjoy it and stay off the web for six months. 😆
