I am sure my saddle has started creaking and its driving me nuts. Can it be cured or do I have to bin it?

Try lightly greasing the saddle rails and then nip them up nice and snugly.

Grease the seatpost clamp bolts too. Very annoying isn’t it, and particularly prevalent with Thomson posts, but I have to use them as I break/bend anything else!

Spray where the rails are built into the saddle itself too. That has been the cause of a creek for me In the past

    Thompson post!
Rails, bolts and saddle all set for a lubing!

+1 – Spray where the rails are built into the saddle itself too. That has been the cause of a creek for me In the past.

I use Thomson posts too but the problem for me has been the nose of my saddle, I have to fill the saddle nose where the rails meet with wet lube before and after a ride to help, not even stop it!

I’m moving onto marine grease in an effort to sort it now!!!

I’ve got a brooks saddle that creaks. I tried everything to stop it but ended up getting a new saddle.
