    Hi

Someone said I should use GT 85 on my bike to prevent rust inside the frame but it’s not doing it’s job (at least not in the seat tube where it’s probably getting rubbed off by the seat post).

Can anyone recommend something I can squirt into the frame to give a good rust proofing coating? Preferably something you’ve used yourself and found to work well.

    Many Thanks.

    waxoyl or POR15 will.

tbh the frame will outlast you if you just leave it alone …..

I used thin Waxoyl inside my Orange P7 and it hasnt rusted yet.

Get the Waxoyl warm (to thin it) and pour it into the frame then rotate to ensure it gets everywhere.

Grease your seatpost then stop worrying about it.

I don’t like to grease my seatpost, I find it makes it stick in the long run. Like I said in my post I’ll treat the frame, thanks for the suggestions all.

ACF-50, used by loads of motorcyclists and originally for stopping aircraft on carriers from rotting.
