2.4 NN on a 5.1 rim in a 456 - not a lot of room

Big ass tyres he hee
Christ just had a look on the Conti website - how heavy are those Rubber Queens!
650g for the folding 2.2 is not too bad.
"You bought 2.4 tyres and then was surprised they were big?"
Perhaps he recklessly assumed they'd be the same size as 2.4 Mountain Kings. We should have a whipround and buy Continental a ruler.
"Measure them, the 2.2s are 2.2" and the 2.4s are 2.4". It's not Continental's fault others lie about the size of their tyres. "
Hah, I say ha. Conti are probably the worst for tyre sizing, at least most companies are consistent.
the rq 2.4 is much bigger than a mk 2.4.
a 2.2 rq measures just a cock hair under 2.4.
the 2.4 rq measures nearly 2.6
Glad i ordered the 2.2's yesterday before this thread came along
Anyone tried the 2.4's with Magura Thors yet? Got some 2.2's but fancy trying a 2.4 on the front.
or pikes?
or a 456?
or pikes?
Main issue I had with the 2.4 RQ was when using a neoguard as this restricted the spaced further and would clog up with pine needles etc.
Have run 2.4's on Pikes with no problems
Mine is now sitting on the front of my rigid hardtail
Kind of makes for a nearly 69er
Me too. In the alps with Chunky.
We were Rubber Queen buddies.
Indeedy
All these RQ uber noobs
I just bought... Erm.... a friend of mine <ahem> just bought a pair of 2.2RQs without checking if they'll fit my his Fox 120RLs. Anyone tried them with this fork? The specs on Fox's website don't seem show that detail.
My friend is working away from home at the mo so he can't check the fit just yet.
TIA
Andrew.
Think you'll be fine, my 2.4 ADvantage is bigger than my 2.2RQ, and it runs through a set of 120R Fox Vanillas
Do 2.4 RQs fit on 36s? Or Pitches?
Just wondering like.
just got a pair 2.2 black chili on ebay for £50. I hope they are black chili.
I didn't think they did black chilli in 2.2 yet?
I think they do but not UST.
The 2.4in fits fine on a Fox 36 btw.
I didn't think they did black chilli in 2.2 yet?
Yep they do. Just not in UST, so you can have 2.2 BC or 2.2 UST, not both.
there not ust.
