From memory the cable has 115mm movement through the full gear range, so that would equate to 8.85mm per change?

well the best solution i came up with for running drop bars on that particular bike was to remove the rohloff and put it in the shed then fit a pro2.

its worked its way onto another bike now that has flats

Can the Rohloff twist changer not be mounted on the end of a drop bar with an adaptor?

it can be but its not a great solution , its ugly and prone to damage – ive used them in the past on customers bikes and its going no where near mind !

Gilles Berhould has a drop bar shifter
    here
But what I’m waiting for is a shifter that has cables that leave parallel to the bars rather than perpendicular.
