I may be in the market for a replacement one of these.

The newer ones look different – no through rod with wedgy nuts on the end.

Are they interchangeable, or have the forks changed as well?

Think so. I had some 2010 Revs, snapped the original maxle lite and the new one bought a year ago was a lot different (just a one piece) and easier to use (and less easy to over tighten and snap)

Cheers scamper, I was pretty sure given the options on the buy page, but it’s good to hear confirmation.

The word at the time was that the latest one isn’t backwards compatible. But I reckon it is- haven’t actually tried one but they said the same about the updated Lyrik one, and it turned out to be fine.

Well, it’s ordered, so I’ll find out tomorrow evening.

Although, fingers crossed, the other one will show up and I won’t have to try it.

I’ve had both types in a RS Recon, both fit fine. The new style is much easier to use.
