Fabulous stuff! 37hrs ago he was on my doorstep, 24hrs before he was in some southern place. ****, I am gobsmacked!

Go, Ben, go! Harness the wind generated by thousands of 'F5' key presses!

By the time we're at our desks this morning, he should be back over the border into England-shire. Spectacular stuff.

I'm having trouble getting my head around how mind-bogglingly big this ride is. I thought doing the sustrans c2c in a day was significant; it soooo isn't.

    Wow!

I know that road he's on now (nr Kendal), I've ridden it many times!
Says he (or the support van?) is not moving at the moment…

    Seriously impressive stuff. 🙂

This is all the more impressive when you read in his profile that he has a wooden chest.

The blog is quite amusing – he's been having micro-naps. Whilst riding. Giving him a couple of seconds and then beeping the horn to wake him up!

    Rock hard.

    What? He's carrying Gentleman's luggage?
    Surely that's in the van?

He's on our local night ride patch now, through the Mendips by Langford and Winscombe on the A38, really cracking on. Don't suppose he'll stop off for bowl of stew and a quick pint in the Crown…? 😉

He's not hanging around – I drove down West recently, and I'm sure we were making worse progress than this.

Last 100 miles, looks like he may even knock 24hrs off the current record. He says thanks for all the messages of support 🙂

He trained bloody hard for this, riding over a thousand miles each week.

So much respect for his achievement, i learnt from my walk, what really is possible from the human body when you put yourself in the mindset and say "i will not fail".

As the mind tries to make you stop, the pain becomes the only thing to focus on and fatigue just says sleep, you battle all this and keep going till your goal is reached.

What Ben has achieved is truly remarkable and my little wander pales into insignificance, an inspiration to many and for great causes.

He's already got his next challenge lined up and future ones for after that, and i can't see him failing, a legend.

    Well done Ben .

Feppin' heck! Good work – that's amazing!

My mate Dan is running 1002 miles in August and is telling a similar story of what you can do by just not accepting failure. Inspiring stuff: http://www.crewsaders.com/site/index.php?ID=65
