Hi,suggestions please.

due to a family bereavement in July the wife & I had to postpone our fortnight roadtrip to the Alps…fortunately we were able to transfer our Euro tunnel tickets to a later date & we now plan to go over for one week in October.

Travelling in our campervan with our springer spaniel but need a bit of inspiration for somewhere different to go. Not that keen on doing the journey to the Alps as its now only a week & did Normandy/Brittany last year, ideally looking for a forest escape…anyone got any experiences/recommendations?

Lac d’orient in the champagne region if you fancy France.
My choice would be Lake Titisee in Germany.

just come back from the Mont Dore region in the Auvergne. Was very nice, plenty of nice peaks & woods, not as far as the Alps.
