I’m needing a compact, was looking at an ultegra but then saw this.

    FSA K Force Light

I know nothing about road bikes, but it looks quite bling and its made of carbon, and similar price to what I was looking at already. Will it work with my current standard external BB, and if so whats the catch ?(given its been reduced dramatically)

I’ve just had the slk light version replaced on warranty.

The alloy threads in the crank arms wear and become loose in the crank arm and are then buggered.

To be fair Windwave replaced out of warranty with no problems so for that price worth a punt as long as there is warranty.

Sram Force are probably a similar price from somewhere cheap

+1 for the Windwave warranty. I’m on my third, the newest replacement is a different design and is lasting well. It’s a pity because the old ones used to fail at the same time the rings and bottom bracket bearings wore out.

I’ve been running these for a couple of seasons with no problems at all.
Those are short (170s) if you want that, and compact.
Probably cheap as they are old school BB (mega exo) combined with the short and compact makes them the least popular combo.
