Just took delivery of Shimano RO77 road shoes (men's) and how narrow are they?
Normally Shimano mtb shoes are fine for me but these will not accommodate my delicate tootsies at all. 
Can anyone recommend some wide fitting men's roadie shoes please.

Shimano do some wide fitting shoes. As do Sidi.
I'm using Specialized, which seem to offer more toe space.

Lake shoes are pretty wide fitting
Shimano are notorious for being narrow. As above Sidi do a mega (wide) version, Lake and Northwave I've seen posted as roomy but not sure if that applies to all the models. I've always worn Spesh shoes myself and was surprised by the 2010 s-works, the uppers are much more supple than the 2009 version so I actually sized back down to my normal trainer size (and they still feel more comfy than my 2009 versions). So basically don't just look for a wide fitting, I think a lot is to do with the uppers (and def check out the Spesh s-works).
Why do you need mens CG? Women's too narrow?
Spesh BG shoes are wide. Plus I think Northwave...? Although I have no direct experience.
Shimano make the R087 in a wide fit but only from size 42 upwards. You don't say what size you need so this could be useless to you.
Northwave MTB are wide... very wide.
Try some Mavics... narrower but like slippers.
I have wide feet and Specialized fit me well.
Thanks for all the replies. Have just spent £9.50 at the Post Office returning shoes to online retailer so will definitely be going to a shop now!
I do have wide feet so only men's shoes will do for sport and evidently a size too small for Shimano's wide fitting version.
Lots of makes for me to look out for.
Hi C_G. Have a look at the last post on my thread of about a year ago here. Unsurprisingly, no-one had any will to live left to post a reply, but I hope it's of use! Note: not the Mavics.
As an aside - I did go back and get some mountain bike shoes too, and before this winter, some Northwave Celsius boots, which have been an absolute bloomin' revelation! I did go up a size again for the boots though. I also run Spesh BG footbeds in them all for that luxury, just-stepped-out-of-the-chiropodist feel.

I have wide feet at the front, and Specialized aren't wide enough for me. So they're not the be all and end all. Now i have Lake Wide fitting, and they're a bit too wide. 
I don't know about the road shoes but the Specialized MTB shoe seems to be wider at the front and narrower at the heel which seems to suit my duck feet quite well.
another for specialized shoes here. They are nice and round at the toe too.
I would usually say Specialized are wide but a friend bought some flashy S-Works disco slippers 2 months ago and they are very narrow to the point that he regrets buying them
He gets on fine with Shimano so his feet are not exactly flippers
Specialized for me too ...I've got long, wide, flat feet, and all of my Specialized shoes have fitted me really comfortably.
I do ride with small stones in my shoes quite often tho' - just so I don't take the comfortable fit for granted.

Spanish company Spiuk produce road shoes which have a wide toe box, wider than the shimano, spesh, northwave ones I had. Definately worth a try.

gonetothehills - thanks for the link to your original thread. Funnily enough I used to wear Northwave Goretex shoes when I was clipped in on the mtb. Very comfy. But sold them on here cos I changed to flats!
I think for the time being I will use my old Cannondale mtb shoes, again very comfy, and see how they are with the new pedals.
