If you had to choose between these (both laced the same way)…

    a) Halo Spin Master hubs, Halo Aerorage rims, 24h front and 32h rear
    b) Miche Racing Box hubs, DT Swiss RR415 rims, 28h both ends

…would you see any compelling reason to go for one or t’other? Or would you plump for something else? (No factory wheels, this is a home-build.)

Consensus on t’Internet appears to be that both those hubs are decent enough… anyone want to disagree? Ease of bearing change is of interest – I’d go for 105 hubs but don’t want 32 spokes at both ends.

The Halo hubs are really nice. Not familiar with the Miche ones.

Why not 32 spokes both ends? Too heavy?

I went for dura ace, open pro, sapim laser, alloy nips 32 3x

Only really that I don’t need that many spokes, and I want a hint of pimp.

Ideally I’d have 20/28, 24/28 or maybe 20/24 but I can’t find any bits in those combinations.
