  • Road brake/shifters Q – reach adjustments on Soras?

    Mrs M is just getting to grips with a road bike (and brifters) but the brake reach is too much for her; they’re reasonably old Soras (9spd) – does anyone know if you can get the reach adjust shims for them? I can only seem to find aftermarket Specialized ones and they don’t list Soras as compatible…

    I had some of the shims but in my sora brakes, but they only make a difference when on the drops, and even then its not much of a difference.

    But yes, they are available, my LBS seems to have a box of them!
