    You’ll die!!! I didn’t, but you will.

It was pretty good with Cane Creek Ergos on a riser on my singlespeed.

Bar ends on wider bars, irrespective of being flat or riser, don’t feel right when riding for me. Bar ends about shoulder width apart, yes – wider, no.

Assuming you have extensive knowledge and experience of singlespeeds, which of course would qualify you to make this comment, can you tell me what it is that makes it so terrible?

Pretend I’m someone just about to get into it, but you want to do the opposite of enthusing about it and put me off in the process, c’mon, sell it to me.

yesp i use the short stubby type on mine that come with ergon grips- who cares what the fashion police think it is a bike it should be comfy for you not just look nice.
FWIW I agree it is less useful on really wide bars.
My SS has risrs and proper bar ends without ergon grips as i find it easier to get leeverage

    Looks stupid.

Riding slower than me while I’ve got bar ends, risers and a map board looks even stupider. 😉

They are 640mm wide and low rise about 1″. Not sure if I want to go back to 580mm is the reason for asking. Don’t think they’ll look too bad myself, after all there’s people out there riding those Jones bikes FFS.

Baggies? Moi? Jey & proud 😀

What you want are invisible barends for your riser bar – all the functionality, but nobody knows thy’re there.

(they work for me by the way)

Running risers and a set of lock-on grips that have integral bar ends on my HT , not worried what the fashion police think as they give me an extra bit of leverage on steep climbs.

Ah, well in that case you’ve got bigger problems, your bars are below the legal limit.
