Lewis first became a star in a duo with Dean Martin, entertaining audiences in nightclubs, on television and in the movies. After their split in 1956, he starred in and directed a slew of hit films such as “The Nutty Professor.”

Aged 91, “natural causes.” I can think of worse ways to check out.

I loved him as a kid, couldn’t get enough of his films. TBH I thought he had died years ago, it still sad to hear he’s died though. On the plus side I hope it means some of his films get an airing again.

Only 20% correct so far.

First saw him in King of Comedy, then looked at his earlier work.
On this one, I agree with the French – one of the greatest comic actors in all of film, with a real hint of menace.

Used to enjoy his films a lot when I was a kid.
