  • rimstrips for DT X1800 & mavic xc717 rims?

    Do you have to use rim strips on DT X1800 wheels and XC717 rims to make them tubeless? or can you just seal the spoke holes with tape and fit the tires?

    goes without saying i’ll be using sealant and valves on both

    I only have experience with crossmax XL’s & 819, bung any tire on and they usually work.

    Can’t think 717’s will work without the strip – tricky with it!

    thanks, anyone running ghetto or rimstrips or not on 717 then? what kit did you use?
