    Hi,

Can anybody recommend any rides near Stanage/Hathersage, or sources containing the same? I’m climbing there weekend after next but if the weather is poor I’ll take the bike out.

    Thanks

Start in Edale, climb up mamm tor, decend the footpath to the corner of the broken road, up the broken road, allong the top to cavedale, down cavedale, up the road to the top of pindale, down pindale, through the cement works, up the road/byway up bradwell edge and down the bridlepath, back through cement works, allong the road to the broken road and up again, decend back to edale by any of the bridleways (I really like the first one on the left or you can carry on and decend one of the others).

The VG guidebook for Dark Peak riding has a few good options.

To answer the OP, yes there are plenty of options in that area. Stanage Edge itself has two bridleways to get you down from east to west. There’s also Blacka Woods for a play, or other stuff from Hathersage towards Bradwell and Hope. No need to go to Edale!
