Staying at Lochcarron next week and the bike is going. Plenty to keep me busy but the wife is wondering about taking her bike. Now that’s a different kettle of fish! Are there any pleasant family cycle trails about. You know the sort of things. Gravel, fairly flat, car free or nearly.
I vaguely remember seeing something suitable alongside the road going north out of Broadford but nothing else.
    Suggestions please.

There is a wee loop going out of Broadford. Along the north side of the road and then cutting down towards the shore.

There are also some forest tracks over at Glen Brittle that can be accessed from the Fairy Pools car park or from Eynort.

There’s also the option of taking the ferry to Raasay and just cycling up to and along Calums Road.

    no, not even close!
Ramsay would be worth a little trip though, can potter round to the SE tip and explore the iron mines and workings, up round the forestry above are some tracks and little trials, also round Raaasay House IIRC.
