Armed with the general consensus of marscepone I set of to the supermarket muttering “marscepone” to myself like a loon.

Mrs Stayhigh was home from work when I got back in holding a tub of cheese in hand. She asked what it was for and I said I was making a nice suprise dinner and we were having cheesecake for desert.

She looked at me and then at the tub in my hand and said “I’d have got marscepone for cheesecake” for I had somehow contrived to pick up the wrong one 😳

    Blast!

    Cheers anyway all 🙂

Mascarpone is only good for hiding small horses.

philadelphia is for cream cheese icing (cakes), mask-a-pony for cheescake.

Mascarpone is for Tiramisu , philadelphia is for cheesecakes .
