    So if you’re an idiot and unwittingly wind the adjustment screw pretty much all the way out, then go for a ride and notice the spring tension is really loose on one pedal, then when you get back you notice that the screw has gone missing, can you just source another and screw it in? Shimano says the pedal has to go to a shop for reassembly.

    I always keep old knackered parts for spares and have an old set of pedals. Could spare an adjustment screw if that helps. Email me address and I can post.
