Right got the awning out for the old campervan yesterday to discover the poles have become separated from it- now obviously im not going to be able to go out and just buy a replacement set for a 30year old awning.

I basically need an 8'x6' square – 5'6" tall alloy pole frame – fairly simple you would think.

How ever im struggling to find anything suitable. Was considering just trying to find a gazebo the right size and using the frame.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Incidentally I contacted Brian Park Camping in Ipswich and the lady i spoke to was unhelpful and down right rude so i highly recommend anyone looking for help to avoid them. In fact she came across as a complete Charlie Uniform November Tango. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

    TRY THIS http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6504380/Trail/searchtext>GAZEBO.htm

You can cut down the ends that meet at the corners to make it fit, as long as you leave formed joints in the middle of each side alone.

you dont need the central poles to creat the roof support unless it would be useful for your tarp.

I suppose i could get that gazebo and take a hacksaw to it, might be a fair amount of work to get it to the right size. Its also half to 2/3's of the cost of a complete new awning.

If i cant get poles i might look at a new awning.
