So who makes replacement rings for SRAM's 120/80 bcd? Need some for a recently acquired X9 crank.

SRAM or Specialities TA. Might have to get the latter from Germany (r2-bike look like they have them) though

Looked at the SRAM ones and they are £100 for the pair. Chainrings appear to have gotten expensive.
Edit - do Spec TA do the new sizes? None on their website.

Does Middleburn not make anything suitable?

Not according to their website but plan to ring them on Monday.

Chainrings have suddenly got ridiculously expensive, it's often best to buy a whole new chainset and get a BB thrown in free.

I have some 28/42 XX rings for sale, only used 4 times before I went to 26/39. Email in profile if you're interested, they're just sat collecting dust atm.

This is one of the reasons I went 1x10 with a custom ring.

I may well go that route anyway. For the £100 SRAM also provide a new spider with a standard bolt circle and the smaller rings. Thanks for the offer though.

I did have a look at the r2 site but the TA rings would work out the same price to me as the SRAM stuff with a new 104mm spider.

R2-Bike seem a bit expensive but do have a lot of esoteric gear, eg. DT Lefty hubs (which is how I stumbled across them). Might be worth giving a UK stockist a ring - it's evident that TA make them, so I'd have thought eg. Spa Cycles could get.
I think the issue is that none of the aftermarket ring manufacturers are going to really get going on making stuff until there's a dominant standard for 2x10 rings - at the moment there are at least three (SRAM/FSA 386/Shimano 88mm).
