Been knocking round the Icelandic highlands for 8 days and now on way back to rekjavik.

Is there any good single track in and around the city? Got a day to spare before flying out on Sunday morning. Nothing too strenuous but thought might be a good way to end the trip.

I know there are lots of guiding companies but most seem to want £100+ each for a days guiding.

Yep, there’s stuff around the hill the Perlan is on. Check out the heated beach (free) if you’re over that way. I’ve done some other rides around the town that were good, have a look on Wikiloc for routes.

Also you can take your bike on the bus down to Hvergerdi, some great riding down there with heated pools.

Had a fun afternoon messing round on the hill by the Perlan. Did more damage to ourselves and bikes than eight days in the highland did.
