BiL has damaged his 2012 Rockhopper frame in a shed incident.

I’m looking for a recommendation for a reasonably-priced replacement frame in steel or aluminium. It needs to be 26″ and available in a medium or 17.5″ size. It needs to be reasonably light – so probably looking to avoid On-Ones or similar. Also more of an XC rather than hardcore frame.

I’ve put a wanted ad on the classifieds for a used frame, but I’m also looking for any other suggestions.

Any ideas?
