Going 1×10 on my cx bike but I’m stumped about what’s compatible with what ratio so can someone please help me out?
Gonna go for a 38t sprocket with a 11-36 cassette though I might push to a 40t up front if it’s too light. Can anyone help me out with a Shimano Shadow+ that will work with that?

There isn’t one that will work.

If you are using road shifters then no, there isn’t one that’ll work. A 9 speed MTB mech will shift correctly, but no-one does one with a clutch.

Zee at a push? Maybe not.

If it comes to it, you can look at modding the pull ratio with a speed hole:

(for 9 spd shimano shifters, 17mm from the cable clamp towards the pivot does a fine job… if you look at the underside of the arm, there is a little flat bit in just the right spot)
