We’re looking to get away in the campervan for the Jubilee weekend and don’t really fancy staying on an ‘obvious’ site as they’re likely to be rammed. It’d be great to find somewhere tucked away which will be a bit quieter. Happy for it to be pretty basic, as long as it has a shower and a bog.

Ideally (obviously) a pub nearby would be a bonus.

Location wise, within 3hrs from Chelt/Glos (in any direction).

Can highly recommend joining the caravan club, the book they publish has hundreds of sites just like the above, some are restricted to members only, some not.

I’ve stayed on a couple of farms that are CC only, and are great.

Its right out of the way, very basic but the location is amazing. There’s a pub within walking distance. You can walk up the valley and jump off the rocks in the plunge pools. They don’t mind you having a fire either

CC members only, but they’re just little orchards tucked out the way.

Which is nuts really, as people must arrive by car and car + tent takes up far more room than a T5 campervan, grr.

Stayed there last year. Pub is a couple of hundred yards down the road (with its own, busier campsite). Easy travelling distance to trail centres if you are in the mood, great natural riding on the doorstep.
