Looking for options for a road wheel build. Don’t want to break the bank so no Chris King suggestions…
Needs to be disc, 15mm front and 142×12 rear.

I was looking at Stans Alpha 400 Disc on either Pro 2 or DT Swiss 350, the latter possibly being straight pull as it’s a bit lighter but more pricey to get built. Put off the pro 2 as I have them on both MTB’s and really fancy something different…no other reason than that really.

Can’t really think of anything else?

Anyone recommend a good place to get them built too?

    Worth giving Wheelsmith a bell.

Just had a look, they don’t do disc or bolt thru hubs.

Better ways of losing weight than straight pull IMO.

JRA are rated for builds no?

Hope will now do you a disc wheel with Alpha 400 or a weight weenie version with XC6 hubs. I suspect that this will work out at better value than custom speccing something, so it would be hard to look past the Hopes.

The hope build doesn’t come as a disc rim…and the XC6 rear isn’t convertible to 142×12.

Yeah I’ve gone off the SP idea.

JRA work out more expensive that others but then other doesn’t seem to want any business due to lack of communication.
