  • Recommend a family friendly "campsite" in Holland/Belgium….

Looks like the Bandito’s holiday this year is going to commence with the Newcastle-Amsterdam ferry before driving down to our summer residence near Limoges. It’s been suggested that we have a weekend’s eurocamp-style slumming-it before heading down to France.

Any recommendations for sites, not too far* off the route from Amsterdam to Paris? Quiet but fun for a nearly-3 and a 7 year old, remote but accessible, luxury glamping but cheap. Happy to stay in pre-built tent or cabin or whatever, I don’t want to take our own camping stuff with us though.

    Cheers

*hour or two off the main route, so on the coast or inland in the forests.

Went here last year – great fun. Free entry to theme park and cheap entry to water park.

No way that Duinrell is quiet 🙂 Maybe somewhere in Ardennes ?

Somewhere I keep meaning to stop on that drive is the Somme battlefield museum. Not the ideal location for a fun-filled family holiday though…
