    I am looking for a new set of wheels. How much do a need to spend to get somthing reasonably light weight, and durable. Mostly for xc duties and the occasional race?

    Hope Hoops

    Flow rims if you want something tough and a Crest if you're more XC/lighter.

    Crests on Hope hubs should be good for that if you are light enough. I can't see them supporting a 15 stone rider but you did not eleborate upon your weight!!
