Looking for new tent for eldest son for his camping trips with the scouts/explorers.

He will be using it through out the year, nothing at high level.

Any bargains to be had in the sales?

Macpac Minaret – probably my favourite tent, ideal for 2 person back packing and copes well with the wet UK weather eg pitches outer first, superb groundsheet etc etc

Not sure on it’s suitability for 4 season stuff but I got one of these:

For the money I couldn’t find anything that came close to the weight. They also do a smaller, lighter 2 man version
