I keep my Lumicycle lights + batteries in the garage which is pretty cold. Got this thought (based on no science!) that it's not good for rechargeable batteries to be kept cold … true or false?

My instructions recommend that I store batteries in the fridge (!) So they have their own box inc silica gel. I do tend to keep my lights in the house though – I worry about the heat change from garage storage to oparational running…

How long should you expect from Li-Ion batteries in the cold?
I have a couple of 6600mAh batteries and their performance is way down on what I would normally expect – down to approx 1-hr where I used to get over 2-hrs….is this the effect of riding in cold and sub-zero temperatures or are they both goosed!!?
