looking to change my RS Monarch on my 2013 reign 2,I read im a bit limited to what i can use due to the way its mounted,so was looking at either the Monarch plus,The fox X2 or the CC Cb inline,i know the monarch will fit as its on most of the new reigns and assume the design is still the same,My current shock size is 200×50.but recently changed the front to 160,so should i stick with what i have size wise on the rear or go to 160 to compliment the front,

    cheers

Best bet is to stick with the shock length you have, if you try to increase travel by using a longer shock you’ll raise the BB and steepen the head angle, neither of which are desirable when you’ve raked it out with a 160mm fork. Likewise, if you fit a shock with a longer stroke, you risk having suspension links and tyres hit the frame in extremis.

Talk to LoCo Tuning about sourcing a replacement.
