    Hello,

Santa Cruz Chameleon small frame. Shimano XT rear mech. The angle of the mech is parallel to the chainstay. Subsequently the chain is angling across the jockey wheels. The mech is on a hanger as it has horozontal droop outs. How do I realign the mech so it is parallel to the cassette?

    Thanks

You could try straightening the hanger by twisting it using an adjustable spanner or a long allen key in the mech bolt.If it’s too far gone to straighten(or you work harden it and snap it), then you’ll need a new drop out from your Santa Cruz retailer, take the old one as a pattern as there are hundreds of types available. It’s worth getting a spare too, break one miles from home and you’ve got a long walk otherwise.

No good in your toolbox if you break it miles away from home, is it?

OP is the mech/hanger bent when looking from behind?

It doesn’t look like it’s out of shape.
