Just finished building my singlespeed commuter so rode it in this morning.

Where I was struggling to get under 15 min on the old hardtail, I got in at just over 5 today 😀

dropping 2/3rds of the time is quite an acheivement – it can’t have just been the bike?

Tell the truth, it was that ‘dodgy’ steak you have for dinner last night wasnt it?

A word of advice, if you see any tunnel entrances in cliff faces – be careful – they might not be what they first appear

very jealous.

changed from my mtb (26″x2″ & 38×18) to my road commute (700×28 & 48×18) and only shaved about 3mins over 6miles

feels faster throughout tho, but i assume thats just the sound or lack of it

TBH the hardtail is a mash of old dead parts and rides like a dog. The singlespeed is a road bike and super efficient. I’m guessing thats what made the major difference.
