    the driveway is surfaced with different sized flags and the pointing between them is beginning to disintegrate.

    What does the STW hive mind reckon is the best way of re-pointing is??

    I’m sure I saw someone on telly brushing in a dry sand/cement mix then wetting it down and letting it set.. will that work?
    I also guess I’ve got a fun job in chipping out the old stuff as well..!

    yeah chip out the old stuff, make sure theres no weeds then you can put the sand cement mix down, or cheaper to buy from the merchant a pre-mix, brush it in and wet down.

    handboard upside down with a pointing mix of 2x sliver 1x building sand 1x cement.

    run the mix into the joints with a finger trowel and then go over with pointing trowel to smooth it over.

    Give us a shout souter, I’ve a load of sand, and next door has a trailer we can use to bring it up to yours
