I blame the manufacturers. Realistically, what can a shop do? They can give you a chunk of their margin (wages effectively). They can offer free carriage from their margin/wages. At the end of the day they go to work to make a living as much as any of us do.

Buy from the states/germany for the cheapest prices, but when you need something in a real hurry there won’t be anyone there to serve you.
