Just fitted a AB oval DM ring to a 24mm Aeffect cinch crank with boost hub.

The new ring seems to be very slightly thicker than the RF spider it replaced.

When the drive side crank is tightened onto the spindle, the cinch mounting ring has started to rub on the PF92 bottom bracket causing some friction.

Currently there are 2 plastic spacers (top hat plus flat washer) on the driveside and a red elastomer (3.5mm thick??) on the non-drive side.

    How to I fix it?

Replace the elastomer with 2.5mm thick type or add another 1mm spacer to drive side?

The RF installation instructions say I should have a preload adjuster – but I think this is for the 30mm axles.

That sounds wrong to me. The red elastomer side goes on the drive. If you’re stick though move a spacer from the other side onto the drive side next to the elastomer.

I’ll take it to bits again, and have another look. Definitely no red elastomer on driveside though.

    Does this help?http://www.raceface.com/comp/inst/B10187-rev1-Aeffect_Cinch_Installation-Web.pdf

I changed my bottom bracket earlier and looked the instructions up.
