    In oracle sql:

    Create table area1.customer (columns etc…) tablespace area2

Is this statement valid? If so what is area1 specifying? is it a user? or a schema?

Been a while since I had anything to do with oracle.

    So
    area1 is the schema.
    area2 is the tablespace.

Sorry for the abrupt answers, I can’t think of anything further that would be useful to add 🙂

    No worries – thanks Rubber.

Just trying to work out if Area1/Area2 is a typo. It’s probably not a type – but whoever named the Schema and Tablespaces on this system should be shot.
