hi just built up my new road wheels and stuck on new cassette duraace cassette as i got one in a deal. Front rings and chain is 300 miles old tops. Problem is every five to ten links the chain doesnt quite engage on the cog perfectly its as tho chain is slightly too long. Could it have stretched already and should i just run old cassette til worn out then get new chain when i need cassette. Or will it mesh in pretty quick.

chain doesnt even go into the 0,75 bit of my chain checker. Its more pronounced in the two smallest cogs and hardly there on the bigger ones confused lol

what a dumbass just realised when putting old cassette on that the rear mech screw needed moving a quarter turn as it wasnt quite low enough the duraace hubs must be very slightlydifferent to the ksyrium es hubs that i was using before. This is a particularly bad error as not only did i build the bike but also the bloody wheels lol so i should have noticed this 🙂 oh well sorted now 🙂
