Just a quick request for advice from any of the locals…

I know the main trails reasonably well – especially around Great Woods – but have never ventured over the other side down into Crowcombe. Are there any good descents heading down that way?

Not much leading down into Crowcombe but loads of great trails/combes that side of the hills.

its pretty steep around crowcombe. most of the combes there seem to just blast straight down the hill.

the road down to crowcombe is always good for scaring yourself on….

Fun downhill to the Blue Ball Inn car park (ride back up the pot holed lane to Triscombe Stone). It begins at the first big gate west of Triscombe Stone – go through the small gate in the wall/hedge.

    Thanks all.

I usually ride down Weacombe & then climb back up Bicknoller (or up through Staple hill plantation) Knottie – any pointers to some of the good stuff?

Seems like there must be some good trails heading down into Triscombe as Buzz suggests? Buzz – is that due West i.e. immediately opposite the cattle grid?
