Doing some work for a friend and he wants me to find him a vinyl record player, preferably not a stack system.
Now I know two things about HiFi, bugger all and nowt and he knows less!
Cost isn’t too much of an issue, so what do you reckon?
    Cheers guys.

What kind of budget is he looking at.

You might want to have a look at project turntables.

I have had a Project Debut for about six months now and am pretty impressed with it.

Lots of vinyl stuff out there these days, including the disks. For a price… 😯

    Have a look here:

    http://www.rega.co.uk

Rega are turntable specialists and highly regarded. You can spend as much or a little as you want on a Rega. I own a P3 and it’s excellent. They look nice as well…which is nice.

Best thing to do if you have cash in your pocket is get down your local indy hi fi shop. It’s perfectly normal to spend ages in these places taking advice, listening to different pieces of kit, etc. If you tell us where you are someone might recommend somewhere.

for a thou theres some choice….

For my money i’d be listening to
    rega rp3
clearaudio concept and emotion (a bit over budget)
    project rp2

Are you willing to go second hand? You could get a nice used Linn Sondek LP12 for that.

2nd hand can be a great option in the hifi world – audio perverts are incredibly fastidious about looking after their kit.

    Linn Sondek +1.
