The HT has a 100mm RT fork and has a nice action and decent travel.

The 120mm XX’s on my F/S aren’t nearly as plush and don’t seem to travel as much.

IIRC the HT is around 120psi +/-. Even dropping the F/S down to 100psi doesn’t seem to increase the travel. I’m wondering if it’s the hydraulic lockout doing something weird?

Both forks are about a year old and have had similar amounts of XC use.

    Any ideas?

No pearls of wisdom from the STW massive?

Not entirely sure what you’re saying. You can’t get full travel on the SID XXs?

    When were they last serviced?

Sorry I guess my question should be, I don’t appear to have full travel in my XX’s.

If I get 75% travel on the RT’s it’s probably 50% for the XX’s. Or looking at it another way, I’m probably getting 3″ of travel in the XX’s. (Please ignore sag for this figures)

I’m sceptical that the pressures should be /that/ different?

Oh and neither have been serviced.

Give it a service, you’ll be amazed how much difference a lower + air seal change service will make to your fork.

    buttery smooth again… mmmmm

The forks feel smooth enough, they’re just don’t seem to travel.

Is a seal change a DIYable job? – I’m reasonable with the spanners.
