Bloomin' bargain-tastic. One of the best bits of boarding kit I bought was a pair of Westbeach troons. Lasted me years!!

I got myself a pair of those Cockalorum slacks and they are superb. Really well made and perfect fit. Chuffed with them for the money.
SportPursuit have the same stuff on sale slightly cheaper at the mo.

Not at all sir.
I bought a Large and they fitted nicely with plenty of adjustment either way with the velcro tabs on the waist.
If you're between sizes normally, go for the smaller one.

Mine too.

I love WestBeach. Everything I've ever bought in Canada has lasted years and many skiing seasons.

Ordered Friday, free delivery, arrived today. Obviously haven't tried them in the real world but the quality seems excellent, which I expected from Westbeach anyway. Unfortunately they're going back in the bags till next year 🙁 Thanks again OP.

Can get the Cockaloram slacks for £42 on Sportpursuit now. They've got a 20% off vouchercode, which I will supply to anyone who emails me 🙂 (I'll give you a link which you can use if you choose, to give me a fiver off).
Other Westbeach items also available.
Tempted by another pair of troos meself, but I DO NOT NEED THEM!

Jacket, slacks and socks purchased! My first trip this season on Friday so I'll be looking dapper on the slopes. Cheers for the PSA.

Mrs NBT's jacket arrived yesterday. Mostly pleased with it but rather dischuffed at the complete and utter lack of a lift-pass pocket. This is supposed to be a "boarding" jacket yet there's no securepocket on the left arm when *every* list I've seen in europe for the last 12 years or so has used an RFID proximity lift pass. There's not even a "flip-up" pocket under the hem for a photo-style season lift pass as used in North america, or a d-ring for the day pass tickets they use. just amazed it got sold when it's not got what I would consider *basic* functionality.

Yep. Sadly pretty common oversight in my experience nbt.
Is there one lower down perhaps hidden by the powder skirt?

Every jacket details I checked had it so surprised they've made one without. I wouldn't have bought one without that feature listed though. Bit crap that some jackets are still being made without that functionality. Some of them are "hidden" though aren't they?

My Burton slacks (which the Westbeach replace) had the pocket high on the leg. Sometimes meant a twitch of the knee to get the 'beep', but not bothered if my jacket doesn't have one.

Most of the jackets seem to have lots of front pockets and details:

Which is nice and all, but ime they always get snagged and beaten up by backpacks, camera bags etc

The Back Country one quite appeals as it has a much simpler front and is 20/30k proof:

But no mention of a lift pass pocket and I'm not a fan of the colour.

🙁

no, we've checked all round. It's this one

http://europe.westbeach.com/p-666-victoria-tundra-plaid-jacket.aspx

and comparing it, all the others say "Hidden pass pocket to left cuff". That one doesn't. Never even occurred to me to loo for something like that - just assumed that any jacket meant for skiing / boarding would have it 🙁

The "Jackson" on SportPursuit has "More pockets than a magician, and more tricks of its sleeves, too.."

about £60
