    For info, the road up from Braithwaite (ie the Keswick side) to Whinlatter is closed as a badger sett underneath it has caused it to subside. Could be a month! Walkers and cyclists can pass (and you’ll therefore benefit from the nice descent to thornthwaite if you fancy it). Alternatively, ride up the C2C.

    I road up the C2C on my tourer with 28mm Marathons on. It was “interesting” in places. – mostly due to lack of grip on damp rock and pine needles.

    I had my Strava KOM taken away for ‘The Full Monty’ (Blue, South, then North) by a bloke on a hybrid! 😯
