Just bought a Sanderson breath for £142 new, do I send back and get a Curtis?! It arrives tomorrow....
Posted 6 months ago # -
72% off is bonkers! Sadly there's nothing that would suit me but well worth a go if there is.

Bought an S1 earlier

OMG must have a cold shower...
£199 for a Curtis Freeride, must resist - can't even ride at the mo, sold my hummer (sigh) and have a brodie holeshot sitting doing nothing and now I want a curtis.... nooo!

Gutted - I was literally half a second too slow on a medium Freeride frame. It disappeared between me logging into paypal and the final confirmation click.
Now, how different would a large Freeride or S1 be to a medium Sanderson Breath?
Posted 6 months ago # -
There's 73% off Rocky Mountain Vertex frames too!
Posted 6 months ago # -
I know, it was too difficult for me to resist, I'm very much meant to be getting rid of things right now, not buying them!

Was it the Black 17.5" Freeride? If so... sorry

I owe you a pint chap - just bought myself a racelite and I'm now a VERY happy man!
Nice one!
Posted 6 months ago # -
Good job no mediums left! but sad to have missed one
Posted 6 months ago # -
They're cheap cos they have ropey geometry and hence ride a bit funny, surely its obvious.
Posted 6 months ago # -
None of those Curtis frames appeal to me, but that Rocky Mountain does....
TBH they're all way, way overpriced at full RRP.
Posted 6 months ago # -
weird geometry
15.5 and 23 inch top tube - thats for freaks...

In CRC related news, I just bought a Last Herb DH frame from CRC with £1400 off. ZAMOFAGUH, etc.
Posted 6 months ago # -
Yep, £2k+ for the Vertex frame at RRP? £600 is much more reasonable! Nice looking frame though
Does this sort of thing give one an idea of the margin on stuff I wonder?

£611 inc free shipping to Australia (and no GST in Oz as it'll be underAUD$1000)... fook me... think I might've just ordered one

stuck a 19.5" in my basket, logged into paypal to pay but then had a rethink, slightly odd geo, cracking price though.
Posted 6 months ago # -
More worrying are the 15.5" Cove Stiffee frames for £199
Posted 6 months ago # -
The Tomac Snyper 140 @ £450 has caught my eye now.........
Posted 6 months ago # -
Some crazy bargains there -
Tomac Snyper 140 £449 and Salsa El Kaboing £499!!If I was in the market for a 140mm bike I'd snap one of those up.

looks like i'll have to keep my 2010 turner 5spot, £799 on crc, £599 for the 2009...
Posted 6 months ago # -
Their Turner and Niner prices are damn tempting too...
Posted 6 months ago # -
Psychle- nope. This is just what happens when a warehouse is emptied to release cash. No one will be making much money on these.
Posted 6 months ago # -
Just bought a Scott Cross Comp frame to replace my old Trek XO2- 2007, but down to £99 from £699. Wonder if it'll come with a fork?
Large and medium available....

jesus christ there are some deals about! that last dh frame!!! i'm glad my herb FR is doing all i need at the moment or i'd be getting that in a flash. the hardtail frames are only £99!
Posted 6 months ago # -
You're buggered if you're trying to sell a 2nd hand frame right now. Some of those prices - hardtail and full sus - are just silly.

yep, my turner frame is gonna be hung up in the garage, just to remind me never to pay full retail again
Posted 6 months ago # -
I still wouldn't buy a Turner at those prices
Posted 6 months ago # -
I've never paid full rrp for any bike or frame. The constant greed for new shiny by mtbers means there's always great older stock and s/h bargains to be had.
This time of year is the best time to buy a new bike or frame. Companies will sell at a loss just to clear stock to make way for new stuffs.
Posted 6 months ago # -
tempted on a niner full suss, 1k off!
Posted 6 months ago # -
Those Snypers are a lovely looking frame. I was sooo close to buying one of those a few years back.
Posted 6 months ago # -
Bloody hell those 5 spots are £800!!!
Hora will have trouble shifting his at £1100.
Those curtis Freerides are perfect for a short arse like me.
I wonder how they compare to the Soul?
Always wanted a Curtis but would not pay £750.
Why are they dodgy geometry?

I resisted, just!
