One of my favourite films ever. Just brilliant.

Awesome characterisation by Nicholson. The bit where he makes up the baseball match to spite Nurse Ratched for not allowing the TV to be switched on was fantastic.

He’s one of my favourite fictional characters and one of my favourite actors and I couldn’t imagine anyone else doing a better job. I’ll mostly be watching that tonight!

One of the very few film that did the book some justice.

I think what I really like is the rebelliousness of the central character. His never say die attitude. Despite the system he ends up in. It’s very life affirming. It’s just a great film, and a great book.

I watched it a few years back and for some reason I can’t bring myself to watch it again. I think it’s because on a certain level I just found the ending so utterly horrific and disturbing.

So who COULD give it a go?

    DiNiro?

    Steve Buschemi?

    Kevin Spacey?
