So, we went down to Bordon on Saturday to sort out the course for the Pronghorn Enduro.

At present it is approximately 8miles long and is around 90% woodland singletrack. It is principally based on the Southern XC cross country course but we have added some more singletrack to make it long enough for an enduro style event. There is roughly 750ft of climbing per lap. On Saturday is was very dry and dusty and was riding extremely fast. At race pace laps were around 35 minutes.

I've put together a short clip of some of the circuit as a taster. You can see it here.

The course is on a fast draining sandy soil base and rides well even when wet. The roots will become a bit more challenging with some moisture but nothing too evil. You don't want a ride around a grass field anyway do you?

Entries are available online at http://www.xcracer.com. There really is something for everyone. Fun, Beginner, 2 hour solo, 4 hour solo, 4 hour pairs, U10, U8 and even a freak bike race for the uber-niche among you 😉
There will be electronic timing, hard standing carpark, food and drink, first aid etc. Pronghorn will be providing prizes for those fast enough to make the podium.

Enjoy the video and hope to see some of you there…any questions just shout 🙂
