Just bought some new cantis and went for Froglegs. However you can't toe them in, just in and out and up and down.
The fronts OK, but the rear is a nightmare. The leading edge of the pad has to be about 8mm from the rim before the trailing edge stops touching the rim.
I have got Tektros that are fine becuase they have the cupped washers.
Also I'm having trouble getting the rear pads to hit the best part of the braking surface. After my last race they had taken off some of the lettering on the rim.
I've got the newer red/black pads.
    Help!

Well I've just done some reading and it seems you do, with a hammer!

I still can't work out how they work so well with the pads a million miles from the rim, but it seems that's one of the reasons people use them.

to toe them in put a spanner over the body (over the 13mm bolt area is good) and bend them, gently

i think you can be more delicate 'persuading' the brake body 🙂

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. I fell the looks, not design. The total lack of any instructions didn't help either. I can't offer any advise, apart from don't buy them again. Next set I get will be Tektro.
