    I’ve just fitted a sunrace 11sp cassette to my Shimano freehub pro 4 hub. There was too much slack between sprockets for the lockring to tighten them up so I had to put a spacer spoke side of the largest sprocket.

    Should work fine but should it need a spacer in there?

    Yes. That full length is for road 11 speed. MTB 11 speed needs a spacer
