Who is good and who should be avoided?
I would like to have 10-15,000 flyers designed and printed.

Cheap, reliable and good quality is what I’m looking for. If I have to choose two from that, reliable and good quality is what I’m looking for.

    Thanks.

I use Beyond Colour in York for all mine. They are excellent, they do all the design and are great with that side of things.
Also do the printing and can do everything via email/post.

Give them a ring and speak to Dave.

(Forgot to say, their printing prices are the cheapest I found too !)

I’d be happy to help you out with both the design and print if interested?

I’d like to think I can match all 3 of your criteria too.

I’ve used cheap print house – http://www.cheapprinthouse.co.uk/ and Hillingdon Green Print http://www.hillingdongreenprint.co.uk and circle services http://www.circleleafletprinting.co.uk and they are all pretty good, depends what you want from the printing and how much you want to pay generally (due to quality constraints genuinely cheap printing looks it – e.g. Rizo printing) (although I’ve never had design work done).

Be careful when judging on price as a lot of places downgrade the thickness and quality of the paper stock to reduce the overheads.

From a quick look at the link above that is exactly what cheapprinthouse.co.uk have done (and they’re still not that cheap).

We use a local printer for most of our’s but I do also use facemediagroup.co.uk/ for some jobs. Can’t comment on their design abilities as our’s is all done in-house.

Print bots in Birmingham are who I use. Cheap and very helpful bunch and quality is very good.

Simple – specify what you want your job printing on beforehand then you get what you ask for.

What size/colours are you wanting? I will do a quick calculation using my printers’ online quote system if you like.

Hi seba. I’m a printer myself and currently run a 2 colour with experience on a 4 colour machine.

Do you mind if I ask how much you’ve been quoted for 10,000 delivered and with what sheet size and any other processes? Only because i’m curious.

Ok. That sounds quite cheap. I recently printed a job for a customer that was 2 colour ink (1 speciality ink which was a non-read ink, meaning that when viewed under a certain light it was no longer visibile and is £50 a tin) 1600 copies of A5 on 200gsm matt stock was about £500 so…seems you’ve got a relatively cheap deal there. But as always with print the longer run length the cheaper it gets.

    🙄

The point is most ‘cheap’ printing is a fixed deal and aimed at small business owners who don’t have the knowledge to realise the differences.

For example those business cards from Vista Print that are about £5 but actually some random size not 85×55 as a business card should be.

The other thing is to advertise ‘flyers’ when you actually get 130gsm which is a leaflet to any real designer or printer.

    oh and to the OP…
based on your spec above I’ve just saved you £50 or more… http://www.facemediagroup.co.uk/?page=budget-leaflets
