To be fair, I don't think MJ was so much over-rated as he was misunderstood. Absolute genius himself, just even wierder than Prince too!
Taking nothing away from Prince though... The guy is/was/always will be the real deal to me!

Jacko mainly made quite safe pop music, agreed. BUT... Did you ever hear him freestyling, or beatboxing? WOW! Unreal stuff... Musical Genius for sure, just when it came to releasing records he always seemed to err on the side of caution.
Prince on the other hand, always made music for himself, and that I respect much much more... It's odd that whilst MJ was always in the media trying to get people to like him, pleading with the public for acceptance, Prince was always ultra quiet and mysterious... And MUCH cooler as a result!
I suppose you like him Elf as he's perhaps the one Adult Male alive in the world that you're taller than!
